When you ingest Tums or sodium bicarbonate these are neutralized by the stomach acid. The only way they can alter your pH is if you take a massive dose of Tums overwhelming the stomach acid and the body's buffering system, which again would be extremely dangerous. With baking soda the only way the blood pH would be affected is if there is an excess of sodium chloride formed during the neutralization by stomach acid, which results in hyperchloremic ACIDosis!!

The buffering by stealing minerals from bone is a common misleading belief. First of all not all pH imbalances are acidic. Secondly bones are ONLY used as a buffer for acidosis as a very last resort and requires very severe and prolonged acidosis. Acidosis is extremely rare to begin with. Acidosis severe enough to lead to bone being used as buffering is significantly more rare. So rare that most doctors will never see such a severe case in their entire careers. And the patient would be on their death bed with such severe acidosis. Virtually all pH is regulated by respiration and kidney function.

You wrote: "Yes, there as so many who end up in the emergency room from taking Alka-Seltzer, Tums, and sodium bicarbonate." See my comments above about this because the only one that can lead to alkalosis is Tums, and this would take a massive amount at once.

You wrote: "Right, the lactic acid that the cancer cells produce certainly makes the cells alkaline."

I guess you are not aware of the fact that cancer cells DO NOT create lactic acid except for a split second before it is converted in to non-acidic lactate.:

Cancer cells secrete non-acidic lactate, not lactic acid:

Tumor metabolism of lactate: the influence and therapeutic potential for MCT and CD147 regulation. I've been in
gesting sodium bicarbonate for 5 years on a daily basis to help keeping my body from being way to acidic (pH in spit was around 5 or less when I started)
But I've stopped using only bicarbonate and lemon, today I use Bullrich Säure-Basen Balance Basetabletten, which gives a better balance.

https://www.amazon.de/Bullrich-S%C3%A4ure-Basen-Balance-Basentabletten-450-Tabletten/dp/B00U0R3E2Y?fbclid=IwAR1aQuIqomqTs4f3EPYwg9d4kggwagipl4GEuYbyZwXgdBaT02a53M_SHZEAhmHugohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18369704703090991796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7925123265090817580.post-20863250060398880632017-06-19T10:31:40.033-05:002017-06-19T10:31:40.033-05:00Thank you for the thoughtful feedback.
You stated...Thank you for the thoughtful feedback.

You stated: Neither salivary nor urinary pH reflect blood pH.

No, as stated in the article, the pH of either reflects the bodies overall buffering ability.

You stated: And you CANNOT alter your pH by ingesting alkaline substance without causing a lot of harm.

People do this every day, Alka-Seltzer, Tums, and sodium bicarbonate will all accomplish this in very small increments.

You stated; The body regulates its pH without assistance.

Yes, by stealing minerals from the bone and other places.

You stated: If you ingest anything to alkalize the blood then you will be in a state of alkalosis that can kill a person from a lack of oxygen.

Yes, there as so many who end up in the emergency room from taking Alka-Seltzer, Tums, and sodium bicarbonate.

You said: Furthermore, even if you could easily alkalize the blood this WOULD NOT kill the already alkaline cancer cells.

Right, the lactic acid that the cancer cells produce certainly makes the cells alkaline.

You said: Cancer cells have an alkaline internal pH that allows them to survive and drives cancer cell glycolysis.

And then you said: Excess alkalinity has also been shown to morph healthy cells in to cancer cells.

There are many publications that refute those claims.

What you refer to is large doses of alkaline substances. What I suggest is that the process should be gradual.

As for the many claims that there is no relationship between blood pH and urine pH, show me the studies.

I know from experience that this works.
Zapper_Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15676298091602992993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7925123265090817580.post-79484008185785864462017-06-19T04:37:53.004-05:002017-06-19T04:37:53.004-05:00Neither salivary nor urinary pH reflect blood pH. ...Neither salivary nor urinary pH reflect blood pH.

And you CANNOT alter your pH by ingesting alkaline substance without causing a lot of harm. This kills both healthy cells and cancer cells by a strong osmotic shift. Nothing to do with altering pH. And ingesting baking soda is completely different as the baking soda is neutralized by stomach acid forming carbonic acid and sodium chloride salt.

Ingesting baking soda also increases the risk of cancer and other diseases while promoting existing cancers for a variety of reasons.
